456 Main Street

When we were called to this 1749 center-chimney Colonial the entire north side of the house was “clad” only in Tyvek house wrap and had been in this condition for two years. (The original contractor failed to complete the job.) We stripped off the degraded house wrap, made repairs to the post and beam frame, skinned over the original underlayment with exterior plywood, added insulation where we could, applied new house wrap, and sided the end wall with white cedar shingles and restored all of the trim.
